Private Practice Fees

The following is a guide to Mr McKeown’s professional fees.
Mr McKeown is registered with the majority of insurance providers:
e.g. BUPA, AVIVA, WPA, AXA, Simply Health, Quinn Healthcare.

The benefits paid out to patients by insurance companies is variable and can be dependant the level of cover and policy details chosen by the individual patient. Patients should check their level of benefit with their insurance company prior to receiving treatment as they may be responsible for any shortfall at a later date.

The price you, or your Private Medical Insurance Company pay for your medical care is generally made up of the following components:

Outpatient Consultations

• Consultation Fees (paid to the surgeon)
• Outpatient Procedure Fees – e.g. injections (paid to the surgeon)
• Drugs, dressings, nursing procedures, X-rays (paid to the hospital)

Operations

• Surgeon’s Operating Fees (paid to the surgeon)
• Anaesthetist’s Fee (paid to the anaesthetist)
• Hospital charges, theatre fees, room fees etc (paid to the hospital)
