Meet Mr McKeown
Mr Ronan McKeown studied in Queen’s University
Belfast Medical School, graduating in 1989. His
Trauma
& Orthopaedic training was on the NI
Regional scheme. During this time he undertook
clinical research and
was awarded Doctorate of Medicine (M.D.) by
Queen’s University Belfast in 2003. Towards the
end of his
training he completed the intercollegiate exam
in Trauma and Orthopaedics (FRCSI Tr&Orth)
in 2004.
Prior to his appointment as Consultant, Mr
McKeown underwent extensive fellowship training
in
1. Upper Limb
& Knee Arthoplasty and Sports Surgery and
2. Foot and Ankle
Surgery, in Cappagh National Orthopaedic
Hospital, Dublin.
Mr McKeown’s NHS practice is based in Craigavon
Area Hospital. Private patient
appointments are
facilitated in the following locations:
The Ulster Independent
Clinic
The Hillsborough Private Clinic
The Newry Clinic
Mr McKeown offers complete
multidisciplinary treatment through close links
with referring clinicians, therapists and other
Professions Allied to Medicine (PAMS).
